Drilling campaign planned on large-scale AU33 gold project targeting fold nose 8.5 km east of Heberto gold discovery

August 30, 2017

DIOS EXPLORATION is pleased to report drilling campaign planning is in progress on large-scale AU33 gold project, James Bay Eeyou Istchee, Quebec.  Exploration drilling will also focus on fold nose target, a folded mineralized and magnetic tonalite sill horizon with quartz stringers, jammed in folded volcanic horizons, 8.5 km east of Heberto gold discovery.

This folded horizon drilling target is located up-ice of a group of strong gold-in-till anomalies and the Chain Lake structure goes straight through the fold nose hinge.  Structures and fold nose hinges help to concentrate gold and are good places to look for gold enrichment and a gold deposit.

DIOS’ personnel recently prospected two circular low-mag anomaly targets within a magnetic diorite in the fold nose area. The area is poorly outcropping, covered by till drumlins. A 10 x10 m angular glacial boulder field was sampled (3 grabs). It is dominantly composed of angular metric boulders (proximal source) of magnetic tonalite injected by 3-5% cm quartz stringers and hosting 0.5-3% disseminated pyrite. This specific marker horizon was previously mapped up-ice (highest assay 0.8 g/t gold) in the northern flank of the fold and has a good magnetic signature.  DIOS is targeting gold enrichment in the folded part of the horizon

Heberto Gold is located in the middle of the significant gold glacial train whereas this fold nose target area is at the head of the gold train, suggesting a major gold source.

The AU33 project hosts a regional east-west striking deep structure (Chain Lake Break) along which numerous significant gold occurrences such as Eastmain Clearwater deposit and Osisko Mustang-Wabamisk gold systems are present.  Along this favourable break, an area with complex cross-cutting subsidiary structures was targeted and Heberto Gold gold was thus discovered as well as other gold showings.

The CLN (Chain Lake North) gold showing, 2 km north of Heberto, was revisited recently by DIOS. Previous CLN sampling yielded values from 2 to 12.65 g/t gold. Nine grab-samples were just taken along a 75 meter strike of the mineralized altered structure. Mineralization is typically a 5-15 m wide foliated altered (biotite-rich/quartz-pyrite/potassic feldspar bands) zone within tonalitic rocks. Pyrite contents in foliated zone vary from 1 to 10 %, averaging 2-5 %. It is quite similar to the Heberto gold zone, but steeper. The CLN zone is bordered to the north by hematized epidotized magnetic tonalite.  This is another very good drilling target.

In addition to Heberto Gold discovery, where 3-D studies are in progress to further delineate drilling targets, DIOS is looking forward to pursue exploration work on other AU33 gold targets.

Summer campaign on large-scale K2 gold-silver-copper system

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC, CANADADIOS EXPLORATION is pleased to report summer campaign is in progress on large-scale K2 gold-silver-copper system, Lower Eastmain James Bay area, Quebec.  Exploration program will target three main areas:

a-  Attila gold-copper-silver showings area (see website for result maps)

b-  Western (inputs/vtem) conductor area/target

c-  Magnetic tilt target along the SW margin of Kali plug

a-  The Attila showing in rhyodacitic flows that yielded 10 samples with values between 1 and 8.08 g/t gold associated with silver (1.5 to 96.7 g/t silver)  and copper (0.12 to 2.40% copper) is composed of sulphides (chalcopyrite and pyrite) and quartz-carbonate-chlorite stockworks. It is also located in the vicinities of the NW Kali fault.  Limited past work shows gold-in-soil anomalies (also copper-zinc) near Attila showings and Kali fault: DIOS will further prospect and extend soil sampling east and south, including over some untested VLF conductors.

b-  At western limit of K2 project (6 km west of Attila), previous airborne geophysical surveys outlined a poorly outcropping two kilometer long (9 inputs & vtem anomalies) conductor at margin of Kali plug and adjacent felsic volcanics.  No prospecting or follow-up are filed.  Prospecting and reconnaissance (b-horizon) soil-sampling will be completed over poorly outcropping western conductor.  Standard prospecting/ mapping will also be carried out. Due to possible lack of rock outcrops, special attention will be put on glacial floats along conductor target.

c-  Previous DIOS’ field program confirmed spatial relationship between most of K2 gold-copper-silver sulphidic mineralization and the margin of a specific magnetic volcanic unit underlying a flattened rhyodacitic dome. Magnetic tilt suggests a  similar favourable volcanic environment is extending west for 4 to 5 kilometers along Kali sub-volcanic intrusion. Follow-ups along this geophysical marker/target are in progress.

DIOS is looking forward to pursue exploration work on K2, Lower Eastmain near Opinaca Sub-province.  Eleonore Gold Mine is in the Lower Eastmain near Opinaca sub-province. Technical content was prepared by H. Desbiens, M.Sc. Geo 43-101 QP.

Several tens of meter mineralized zones in DIOS’ first holes of winter drilling program on Heberto Gold

DIOS EXPLORATION is pleased to report first 3 holes (some 1100 m) of ongoing drilling on wholly-owned Heberto gold project, intersected several tens of meters of mineralized zones, more at depth than 2 previous 2015 and 2016 drilling campaigns.

Mineralized zones show strong hydrothermal alteration in sheared rocks with biotite, silica and microcline and fine pyrite and magnetite. Gold content is directly related to these minerals. Several hundreds of core samples were sent for gold assaying this week. Hole 17 was even deepened for 200 m and the Heberto gold zone was again hit at depth.

Drill 2

The Heberto Gold discovery had yielded 4.8 grams gold per tonne over 8.65 meters last year in 2.13 g/t Au /22.90 m; 2 g/t Au over 22 m some 75 m deeper and 1.8 g/t Au /18.45 m some 75-100 m even deeper and 3.65 g/t Au/13 m some 50 m to the south in 1.15 g/t Au/64 m.

The Heberto gold zone discovery (no royalties) is located 50 km south of Goldcorp’s Eleonore gold mine, Eeyou Istchee James Bay, Quebec, and 20 km west of Clearwater gold deposit. DIOS’ property is adjacent to EM 1-A power plant.

DIOS delineates large-scale gold-silver-copper system on its K2 project, Lower Eastmain, and increases land position

DIOS is very pleased to report significant results from new K2 project seven-day exploration program, Lower Eastmain James Bay area, Quebec. Outcropping rock sampling returned 64 gold assays between 8.08 and 0.1 g/t gold, including 12 samples greater than 1 g/t gold (8.08, 3.64, 2.52, 2.44, 2.28, 2.12, 1.74, 1.71, 1.65, 1.46, 1.35, 1.03 g/t gold) and 20 samples over 0.50 g/t gold. Gold is associated with significant silver values up to 123 g/t Ag (including 36 samples over 10 g/t silver & 8 samples over 50 g/t silver ) and copper values up to 6,42% (65 samples over 0.1% Cu and 18 samples over 1% Cu).

Best assays were obtained from felsic volcanics overlying Kali Quartz-Diorite Porphyry. A chalcopyrite-rich stringer/stockwork zone extending over 75 m and about 5-10 m wide yielded up to 8.08 g/t gold, 96.7 g/t silver, 2.43% copper & 0.17% zinc. A total of 13 rock samples from «Attila Zone» returned average grades of 1.07 g/t gold, 38.8 g/t silver & 1.25% Cu. Some 100 m north, a several meter sub-parallel horizon extending over 50 m with narrow quartz-carbonate-pyrite veins returned five samples over 1 g/t gold (up to 3.64 g/t gold & 26.7 g/t silver).

Gold-Silver-Copper occurrences hosted in felsic volcanics and tuffs are spatially associated with NW Kali fault and margins of a regional distinct 4 x1 km magnetic high anomaly along Kali Quartz-Diorite Porphyry contact. Mineralization consists in disseminated and stringer sulphides (pyrite-chalcopyrite, minor sphalerite-pyrrhotite) associated with strong silica-chlorite-carbonate stockwork alteration zone. Alteration Zone is centred on Kali fault, overlapping southern margin of magnetic high anomaly. It was traced over a 500 m width and a 2 km lateral extent within felsic volcanic sequence. Sericitization-silicification-pyritization (2-5%) of a specific several meter volcanic unit was also observed.

DIOS’ research work outlined a 10 km long felsic sequence injected by synvolcanic Kali Quartz-Diorite porphyry, favourable for gold-silver-copper mineralized system. Several types of gold-bearing mineralization were observed: disseminated and stringer sulphide (pyrite-chalcopyrite) zones hosted in felsic volcanics sub-parallel to stratigraphy; shear zones; fracture-filling and narrow (cm-dm) quartz-carbonate-sulphide veins.

DIOS is looking forward to follow-up exploration work on K2 in the Lower Eastmain near Opinaca Sub-province.  Eleonore Gold Mine is in the Lower Eastmain near the Opinaca sub-province. Due to positive results so far, DIOS extended K2 over a 12km-strike of favourable volcanics in contact with Kali pluton (65 claims, 35 sq. km). New claims cover an EW shear coincidental with weak electromagnetic (input) anomalies over a 2 km-strike. Ground geophysical Induced-Polarization surveys are considered to outline large-scale targets at depth.

A total of 300 samples including 28 blanks were collected and analyzed at Val Dor ALS-Globals laboratory for gold (AU-AA23) and others elements (ME-ICP41).

Dios acquires new Clarkie gold project in Opinaca area

Dios acquires new Clarkie gold project in Opinaca area

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC, CANADADIOS EXPLORATION acquires the new gold CLARKIE property with strong gold potential north of Eastmain Clearwater gold deposit and southeast of Eleonore Goldcorp gold mine and Cheechoo recent gold discovery in metasediments.   A significant gold-bearing glacial train indicates an up-ice source area hosting folded Clarkie sediments, interpreted as equivalent (same age sediments) to those hosting Eleonore gold mine.

Other favourable features such as diorite intrusions, porous sediments, fold closures and northwest structures are good physical traps for gold noted on newly map-staked claims (70 square km) close to strategic regional Opinaca-LaGrande contact.
See map at :   http://diosexplo.com/images/Clarkie.jpg

DIOS outlined this gold-in-till train (16 x 4 km) including 14 samples over 100 ppb gold and five samples over 600 ppb gold (from heavy mineral concentrates). DIOS’ team is looking forward to explore these high gold potential sediments this summer.

Recent DIOS’ Heberto Gold discovery came from searching the source of such a gold glacial sand dispersal train.  The goldbearing Bohier tonalite along highway 167 was also discovered searching the source of yet another gold train delineated by Dios’ proprietary work data.  This press release was prepared by Harold Desbiens, M.Sc. Geo 43-101 QP.

Dios hits 3.65 g/t gold over 13 meters within a 60 m true thickness grading 1.21 g/t gold in Heberto tonalite

Dios hits 3.65 g/t gold over 13 meters within a 60 m true thickness grading 1.21 g/t gold in Heberto tonalite

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC, CANADA –Management of DIOS EXPLORATION is very pleased to report first results received from 2016 recent drilling on wholly-owned HEBERTOHole 19 cut 3.65 grams gold per tonne over 13 m (71 m-84 m)in a 64 m true thickness interval grading 1.15 g/t gold from 68 to 132 m on HEBERTO.

Recent 2016 drilling targeted vicinities of HEBERTO gold showing and checked the N160 degrees goldbearing corridor over a 700 meter strike length.  That goldbearing structure consists of several meters thick potassic altered shear zones with traces-4% pyrite (traces magnetite) in a large granodiorite/tonalite pluton.  DIOS is looking for a significant worldclass oxidized IRG gold deposit.  Enriched gold content in association with pyrite and magnetite confirm that model deposit.

This is promising because of pyrite and magnetite associated with gold on HEBERTO.  The first gold zone in hole 19 (from 71m to 84m) has 3-5% pyrite-magnetite (hematite-quartz-biotite) stringers/veinlets and the second one from 92-128 m has potassic shears with 1-3% disseminated pyrite (magnetite).  Gold zones can be followed in strike and dip.  Hole 19 is located 50 m south of holes 2015-01 (2.13 g/t gold/22.9 m), 2015-09 (2 g/t gold/22 m) and 2015-10 (1.63 g/t gold/18.45 m). Hole 19 is also located 50 m north of hole 2015-06 (1.94 g/t gold/7.75 m) and 112 m west of hole 2015-01.

DIOS 2016 Heberto 1532 meter eight drill hole program tested 8 targets. Further assays and re-assays are pending and will be released in the coming weeks for other holes.  HEBERTO major km scale gold system is located within a 5 X 8 km highly anomalous gold-in-outcrops area, 50 km south of Goldcorp’s Eleonore world class gold mine and 20 km west of Clearwater gold deposit, James Bay Eeyou Istchee, Quebec.

Samples were bagged and sent to ALS-Global laboratory in Val D’Or, Quebec: 616 samples (559.5 m of core) were sent for gold assays (Au-AA23) with 52 inserted blanks (certified barren quartz) for quality control.  Technical data was reviewed by Harold Desbiens, M.Sc. Geo 43-101 QP.
